When it comes to effective COVID-19 testing, having all of the facts is absolutely necessary. If you believe you have contracted the Coronavirus or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, the first step is to come in for a thorough examination. At Central Illinois Urgent Care, we’re able to provide residents of Mooresville with the proper COVID testing, in part, because we perform the tests on-site, with Rapid Test results usually ready in 15 minutes, and PCR Test results typically back within 24 to 48 hours. Depending on the results of the test, we can then begin to answer questions that you might have, as well as provide treatment for symptoms or refer you to specialists if needed.

We provide the following tests on-site, with patients being tested from their vehicles.

  • Rapid Test (also referred to as antigen test). This test detects protein fragments specific to the Coronavirus. Turnaround time for results is usually very quick and in some cases, results can be reported within 15 minutes.
  • PCR test. PCR testing is considered the “gold standard” in COVID-19 detection. This test actually detects RNA (or genetic material) that is specific to the virus and can detect the virus within days of infection, even those who have no symptoms. Turnaround time is longer, generally within 2-3 business days, depending on demand.
  • Antibody Testing. We do not offer at this time.

In addition to COVID-19 testing, we offer many other services at Central Illinois Urgent Care, including immunization administration, treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, and pregnancy tests.
